On April 14th, members of Mt. Calvary SDA Church had the delightful opportunity to embark on a field trip to Mr. Edson Jarvis' Garden. Located just a short drive from our church, this serene and lush garden has been lovingly tended by Mr. Jarvis for many years.
As we arrived, we were greeted by a burst of colors from the blooming flowers and the refreshing scent of herbs in the air. Mr. Jarvis, a seasoned gardener and a cherished member of our congregation, warmly welcomed us and shared his passion for gardening.
Walking through the garden, we were amazed by the variety of plants, from vibrant roses to aromatic lavender bushes. Mr. Jarvis eagerly shared gardening tips and tricks, from proper planting techniques to natural pest control methods.
One highlight of the visit was the vegetable patch, where rows of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers thrived under Mr. Jarvis' care. We even had the chance to taste some freshly picked vegetables, savoring the crispness and sweetness straight from the garden.
The peaceful ambiance of the garden provided the perfect setting for reflection and gratitude. We were reminded of the beauty of nature and the blessings of God's creation. As we departed, Mr. Jarvis encouraged us to apply what we learned in our own gardens and to cultivate a deeper connection with nature.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Edson Jarvis for graciously opening his garden to us and sharing his wealth of knowledge. This field trip was not only an educational experience but also a joyful opportunity to bond as a church community.
Stay tuned for more exciting field trips and events as we continue to grow together in faith and fellowship at Mt. Calvary SDA Church!
